Founded in 2003, Sultan Sushi Belgium is managed by its co-founders and 49% shareholders, Johan Tuyaerts (CEO), Caroline Vergauwen (CFO) and Jan Keersmaekers (COO). Enjoying long-established relationships with all major Belgian broadcasters, Sultan Sushi focuses on the development and production of home-made reality, drama series, lifestyle and children´s formats with international potential. The company has also leveraged its creative skills and production experience to include in its portfolio promotional and corporate films and events.
The Sultan Sushi brand is synonymous with three basic values – fresh ideas, smart value and craftsmanship – which have brought the company fantastic results: its production credits include “House Hunt” (home & lifestyle / VT4), “Oh, What a life!” (celebrity magazine / VT4) and “The Fifth Bow” (children´s drama / VRT). It has sold its formats to territories around the world, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavia and South Africa. In addition, Sultan Sushi has successfully diversified into corporate marketing and events, counting KLM-Air France, Bridgestone and Nextel among some of its key clients.
With the recent launch of Sultan Sushi Netherlands, a 100% owned Red Arrow production company based in Amsterdam, the Dutch start-up expands Red Arrow´s creative scale across a key international TV market. The company has made a strong start by securing the production of a Dutch daily version of “House Hunt” for SBS6. Johan Tuyaerts and Jan Keersmaekers extend their existing roles as CEO and COO of Sultan Sushi Belgium, respectively, to act as Managing Directors for Red Arrow’s entire Benelux operation. |
